How to prepare for your body composition scan
- Hydrate well the day before
- Do not drink caffeine on the day of your test*
- Do not eat 3-4 hours prior to testing
- Do not exercise 6-12 hours prior to test
- Do not take InBody test after a shower or sauna session
- Do not wear jewelry
- Do not wear clothing that covers feet and hands (nylons, tights, etc.)
- Download the InBody App and log in prior to your appointment. The app is not required but a great way to get the results sent right to you seconds after your screen.
*Please note: The most important protocol to follow is to not deviate from your normal routine – even if this involves some caffeine, for example. While having caffeine isn’t the most ideal situation, if you always drink coffee in the morning, you should stick to your normal routine so the scan reflects truthfully.
Get the InBody App
With the InBody app, you’ll get a clear, detailed view of your fitness metrics right on your phone. Track and analyze essential health data, break down wellness goals, and see how your progress evolves over time. It’s an easy way to stay motivated, adjust your routines, and achieve your health targets faster!
How to Complete a Scan
- Start by downloading the InBody app and logging in before your scan. This will allow your results to be sent to you instantly once the scan is complete.
- Please remove your shoes and socks, and use the provided wipes to clean your hands and feet (no need to change out of your clothes).
- When you’re ready, step onto the platform to begin.
- The system will guide you with on-screen prompts. When asked for your ID, simply enter your phone number.
Results are Just the Beginning

A trainer will guide you through a full interpretation of your results, explaining each metric in detail and providing personalized insights. Together, you’ll develop targeted goals and discuss programming options tailored to maximize your workouts.
