CAREER/ATHLETIC ACHIEVEMENTS:
I began my career as an art teacher. In 2007 I stepped back from teaching to become a stay-at-home mom to my three kids, Ben, Elle, and Abby. While staying home with my kids, I worked part-time in the evenings teaching at paint party studios. You know the places where you go, have a few glasses of wine with friends and leave with a masterpiece because the awesome instructor led you step-by-step through the painting? That was my jam, and it was a lot of fun. But, when my youngest child went to kindergarten, I knew I wanted to step back into the workforce during the day, keeping my evenings free for my family. That’s when I became a boot camp instructor at the CrossFit gym where I was a member. After that, I went from part-time boot camp coach to full-time trainer in a matter of months. I knew I had found my passion. In 2021, my husband's job brought us to Milwaukee, and me to the WAC. I love helping individuals take control of their health and fitness through movement. The most rewarding part of being a trainer is watching the ripple effect of fitness as it changes and empowers clients in every aspect of their lives. Fitness is about so much more than just weight loss and big muscles!

SPECIALTIES:
Cycling, weight Training, HIIT, weight lossMy fitness background does tend to make me lean toward specializing in not specializing, meaning I like to build well-rounded athletes. I myself have a very diverse fitness and sport background. By focusing on the many different facets of fitness, I believe I can help clients and athletes to get the most out of life.
To build athletes who are capable of everything from summiting a mountain to getting on the floor and playing with their grandkids, I will use many different modalities. One favorite for me is kettlebell training. Never done that before? Ask me, I’ll teach you.
INTERESTS/HOBBIES:
I am a wife, mother of three teenagers, painter and outdoor enthusiast though I do prefer warm weather to cold! I am a painter and sculptor by training and still very much enjoy creating art in my free time. I have one pet, a dog named Dash. Dash is a great Pyrenees - collie mix. His name is ironic because he is anything but speedy.
PHILOSOPHY:
My philosophy as a trainer is that the hours you spend in the gym should be designed to make life outside of the gym more enjoyable.
And, never pass by an opportunity to try something outside of your comfort zone. Everything great awaits just outside of the comfort zone.
