Intro: Students have little to no tennis experience.

Level 1 students work towards being able to start points with serves and are introduced to hitting with topspin.

Competition • Ages 13-15
Competition I | Ages 12-14
Students should be able to play with topspin and work on consistency. Second serves should be consistent as a way to get points started, but the correct form for slice and flat serves often need a grip correction. Students should have the ability to play a match but may not have much experience doing so.
Competition II | Ages 13-16
Students should be able to play with topspin and work on using a slice during point play. Some students will start to develop preferences at winning points using different strategies. Defensive-minded play (high topspin and slices) and offensive-minded play (big forehand and aggressive net play) can allow students to optimize their skills for success. Flat and spin serves with the proper grips should be consistent. This player is ready for high school tennis or played on a freshman or JV 2 team.
Competition III | Ages 13-17
These students are experienced players either going out for high school tennis or have already played a season on a for a JV or Varsity team. They understand how to play with and against most of the strategies listed in the above Competition II description. Players should also be comfortable playing both singles and doubles.

High School • 9th – 12th Grade
This class is designed for high school players looking to improve their skills for competitive play. Players will focus on technique, match strategy, and conditioning to prepare for school team tryouts and match play.
High School 1: Players should have prior tennis experience and are either trying out for high school tennis or have already played a season in a freshman or lower JV position. Focus is on improving consistency, shot selection, and match-play awareness.
High School 2: Players are ready to compete at a JV or Varsity level, depending on the strength of their team. Training emphasizes advanced techniques, strategic point play, and competitive match preparation.

High Performance • 9th – 12th Grade
This class is for USTA tennis tournament players only. Students must have a UTR (Universal Tennis Rating), which is automatically generated when playing in sanctioned tournaments.
Lake Country Summer Tennis Camps are open to all levels of youth players. From beginners who have never picked up a racquet to varsity-level competitors, each student will be placed in a group that fits their skill level. Classes will provide fun, professional instruction with stroke development, games and point play.
