Come learn about the fundamentals of yoga. The word yoga means “union” or “joining” in sanskrit. The practice of yoga is meant to unite the mind, body and spirit. By doing the positions (asanas) we are lengthening, strengthening and detoxifying our bodies. In this workshop we will be exploring the fundamentals of yoga. We will cover the health benefits of this mind-body practice and then continue through sequence of the basics traditional poses with an explanation of anatomical structure and the health benefit of each pose. All ability levels are welcome.
